Video captured by Marilu Domingo Ortiz shows ICE agents shattering the window of her husband Juan Francisco Mendez’s car as the couple waited for their attorney, Ondine Galvez Sniffin, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. According to Sniffin, Mendez has legal status in the U.S., and agents appeared to be searching for someone with a different name. Mendez is now being held at Strafford County correctional facility in Dover, New Hampshire, raising serious concern from his attorney.
