Yandel has been nominated for several Billboard

F & F Media Corp.- The king of Latin urban music, Yandel received a Gold Album for his hit record \u201cDe Lider a Leyenda,\u201d after his sizzling performance on Univision Network\u2019s \u201cNuestra Belleza Latina\u201d show.<\/p>\n

Yandel was surprised and delighted when Jorge S\u00e1nchez, Senior Marketing Director of Sony Music US Latin, presented him with the Gold Record, which recognizes the album\u2019s tremendous success. Yandel, who was being interviewed backstage by host Rodner Figueroa for the show \u201cSal y Pimienta,\u201d was taken aback but very happy when he was presented with the award, after his appearance on \u201cNuestra Belleza Latina.\u201d<\/p>\n

His sizzling performance was a medley of \u201cHabl\u00e9 de Ti\u201d and \u201cHasta Abajo,\u201d from his second solo album \u201cDe L\u00edder a Leyenda,\u201d which has practically made him a household name all over the world.<\/p>\n

The Puerto Rican sensation is about to embark on a tour of the U.S. and Latin America beginning on March 21 at the Hard Rock Caf\u00e9 Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. On March 29, Yandel will perform at La Fiesta de la Vendimia in Curico, Chile. The tour will continue with three events \u201cBillboard Solo por Invitaci\u00f3n\u201d (Billboard By Invitation Only) at Stage 48, in New York (April 10); Concord Music Hall, Chicago (April 11), and Liv Night Club, in Miami (April 12).<\/p>\n

\u201cDe L\u00edder a Leyenda VIP Tour\u201d will continue with shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco, June 5 and moving on to House of Blues in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Chicago. Yandel\u2019s fan will also be able to enjoy the magic of his songs on June 20 at The Fillmore in Washington, the following day at Irving Plaza in New York, April 27 in House of Blues in Orlando and the 28 of the month at The Fillmore in Miami.<\/p>\n

The tour also includes a special show dedicated to his natives and slated to take place October 4 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jos\u00e9 Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.<\/p>\n

After the tremendous success of his latest album, Yandel continues his meteoric rise. He is uniquely positioned in the music business, having received several nominations to the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2014, to be held Thursday, April 24 in Miami, Florida.<\/p>\n

Yandel is nominated as \u201cArtist of the Year, Soloist, Latin Rhythm Songs\u201d and \u201cArtist of the Year Soloist, Latin Rhythm Albums.\u201d From his days with Wisin, he is nominated as \u201cDuo or Group of the Year, Latin Pop Songs,\u201d and \u201cDuo or Group of the Year, Latin Rhythm Albums.\u201d<\/p>\n
