Presents: URBAN SALSA SESSIONS! is more than a star-studded collaborative album\u2014it\u2019s an artistic statement: salsa doesn\u2019t need to adapt to the present, because it\u2019s already a part of it.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring an eclectic lineup including Jay Wheeler, Wisin, Fariana, Anthony Ramos, Elena Rose, Oscar D\u2019Le\u00f3n, and Skip Marley, Sergio George creates a sonic landscape where the genre\u2019s roots intertwine with today\u2019s urban narrative. Each track is an intergenerational conversation, a testament to how musical heritage can evolve without losing its essence.<\/p>\n<p>From the opening note of \u201cLa Puerta\u201d with Jay Wheeler, the album sets a clear tone: this isn\u2019t about paying tribute to the past, but about rewriting the present. On \u201cAmor Material,\u201d Ryan Castro delivers a sharp social critique through rhythm. And \u201cLa Gata y el Rat\u00f3n,\u201d a bold interpolation of Cheo Feliciano\u2019s classic \u201cEl Rat\u00f3n\u201d finds new life through Fariana\u2019spowerful vocals, Juanes\u2019 unmistakable electric guitar, and a sample of Cheo\u2019s original voice\u2014coming together to make this track a new classic for future generations.<\/p>\n<p>The album also explores emotional vulnerability (\u201cMe Dejaste Solo\u201d with Justin Quiles), gratitude amid chaos (\u201cGracias\u201d with Annasofia and Mike Bah\u00eda), and unapologetic celebration (\u201cLa Vida Es Una Fiesta\u201d with Wisinfeaturing Yahaira Plasencia). Every track is masterfully produced\u2014not just as a song, but as a high-level artistic delivery. The album reinforces a new generational and aesthetic reach with the presence of voices like Lenny Tav\u00e1rez, Rafa Pab\u00f3n, Noriel, Bebeshito, Christian Alicea, and Anthony Ramos, who performs the only English-language track on the record, \u201cI Was The One,\u201d a co-written composition with Nasri (lead singer of the band Magic!).<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cMe Das Fever,\u201d George orchestrates a conversation between Oscar D\u2019Le\u00f3n, Skip Marley, and Elena Rose in a genre-defying track with a production that bridges the cultural Atlantic between Kingston, Caracas, and the Bronx.
